CPCCOHS1001A - Work safely in the construction industry

  • This nationally recognised training course gives trainees basic knowledge of:
    • construction work
    • Work Health and Safety (WH&S) laws
    • common hazards encountered in construction work
    • how associated risks can be controlled
  • Under WHS legislation, workers on construction sites must undertake general induction training or ‘White Card training’ and have evidence of their attendance from the course before they are permitted to commence work on a construction site.

Course overview

  • We offer industry experienced trainers and modern plant and equipment
  • Assessment type: theory and practical
  • Participants must be a minimum of 15 years of age to sit the assessment and be proficient in English
  • On completion the trainees will be able to competently:
    • Identify WHS legislative requirements
    • Identify construction hazards and control measures
    • Identify WHS communication and reporting processes
    • Identify WHS incident response procedure
  • On successful completion of the course, participants will receive an Industry Wallet Card and Statement of Attainment (SoA) on the day

  • Photo ID - current Driver's Licence, Passport or Proof of Age card
  • Closed in footwear
