Course Overview:

  • BEGINNER Course Fees - $395
  • Duration - 1-2 days, depending on competency
  • Time - 7.00am - 3.00pm Monday to Friday

Course Outline:

This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to safely operate a side by side utility vehicle including undertaking pre-start checks and shut down procedures. The unit applies to individuals who operate side by side utility vehicles to undertake routine work under general supervision with limited autonomy and accountability.  

  • Prepare a side utility vehicle for operation
  • Operate a side utility vehicle
  • Identifying dangerous conditions
  • Side utility vehicle shut down and inspection

 

Assessment type: Theory and Practical

Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a Statement of Attainment and a plastic industry wallet card issued by QTLT RTO #40931

 

Prerequisites

Participates must:

  • Participants must be a minimum of 17 years of age to sit the assessment
  • Be proficient in English
  • A short literacy and numeracy test will be required

What To Bring

  • Photo ID
  • wear sun-smart and job-site ready clothing - closed in shoes, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen
  • Lunch and water/drink

VOCs

Verification of Competency (VOC) available for all machinery, heavy vehicles and other competencies.
