The Roller training is held locally in Cairns but can be run in remote locations if you have the machine. The Cairns-based course involves a theory component conducted at our training centre in Cairns, with practical component and assessment conducted at our training site at Freshwater.

• RIIMPO319E - Conduct backhoe/loader operations

Course Outline:

This nationally recognised training course gives participants the necessary skills and knowledge to safely and efficiently operate a Backhoe/Loader and work in a range of different working environments including earthmoving, civil construction industries.  

• Legislations and standards applicable to operating a Backhoe/Loader
• Risk management, control procedures & prepare for Backhoe/Loader operations
• Drive and operate Backhoe/Loader, and modify the operating technique to meet changing work conditions
• Load, carry and place materials
• Select, remove and fit attachments
• Relocate the Backhoe
• Conduct house keeping

Course Overview:

• BEGINNER Course Fees - $500
• Duration - 1 day minimum including assessment (depending on participants skill levels)
• Time - 7.00am - 3.00pm Monday to Friday
• Experienced Course - 1 day -  $400*
• Must supply either OHS/RII ticket OR VOC (minimum 12 months experience)
