The Dozer training is held locally in Cairns but can be run in remote locations if you have the machine. The Cairns-based course involves a theory component conducted at our training centre in Cairns, with practical component and assessment conducted at our training site at Freshwater.

Course outline

This nationally recognised training course gives participants the necessary skills and knowledge to safely and efficiently operate a Dozer and work in a range of different working environments.

• Legislations and standards applicable to operating a dozer
• Risk management, control procedures & prepare for dozer operations
• Drive and operate dozer, and modify the operating technique to meet changing work conditions
• Select, remove and fit attachments
• Relocate the dozer
• Carry out machine operator maintenance
• Conduct house keeping
• On successfully completion of being deemed competent you will receive a statement of attainment and a plastic industry wallet card issued by QTLT RTO 40931

A short literacy and numeracy test will be required
