Reoun was on-time and ready and well prepared, training was thorough and well suited for the driving exam with qld tmr. Reoun adapted well during the day to the level of performance and also breaks or changes in conditions. I had never driven a truck before the lesson day but never felt out of my depth with Reouns instructions. I passed both practical and written exams on the day for HR licence and felt well prepared and confident by the exam start time.

Very professional and a great place to learn
I recently completed my forklift course with Cairns Truck School and had a really good experience over the three days.
The course was informative and practical, and I found the way everything was explained made it easy to understand and put into practice. I particularly appreciated the focus on safety and WHS, as it gave me a much better understanding of the responsibilities that come with operating a forklift and the hazards you need to be aware of.
I really appreciated the focus on student welfare. I felt supported throughout the course and never felt like I was being rushed through the training. All three trainers I had over the three days were great to work with, approachable and willing to explain things or answer questions when needed.
By the end of the course, I felt a lot more confident and aware of how to operate a forklift safely and responsibly.
Overall, I had a great experience with Cairns Truck School. I would definitely recommend them and would be more than happy to come back and complete further courses with them in the future.

I honestly can’t recommend Cairns Truck School enough! If you’re looking to get your truck licence, especially as a newcomer or foreigner in Australia, this is definitely the place to go.

I did have a small issue where my middle name/details got mixed up a little, but honestly, no big deal at all — it was already sorted out and taken care of. Things like that can happen, and what matters is having people who actually help you get it resolved quickly.
???? Advice for anyone coming from overseas
As a foreigner, one of the biggest pieces of advice I can give is get your Australian documents organised before you start the process. Having everything ready can make things much quicker and easier.
In particular, I recommend having:
* Your overseas passport
* Birth certificate and any other required identity documents
* An Australian bank account with a physical bank card, as this can help when getting your ID/licence information processed
* Any other documents required by Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR)
Having your documents in place from the beginning can save you a lot of time, stress and back-and-forth.
If you’re thinking about getting your truck licence, don’t keep putting it off give Cairns Truck School a call! The team knows what they’re doing, they make you feel comfortable, and they genuinely want to help you get through the process.

Dean was unreal, I come in not driven many trucks before, especially in the city. He was able to pick up on my energy and explain things in away that got me from over thinking everything and focus on what I needed to do to get a pass.
