Hi my experience craig murphy our teacher/instructor has been nothing but the best in the business. He's calm nature, understanding and not pushiness has help alot allowing us to learn with more confidence and not feel pressured therefore possibly making mistakes. I would like to thank John for his support throughout the 3-day forklift course. Chris was a wealth of knowledge, I had recently did a forklift course with you in cairns, which I have to come back to on Friday to complete, (failed Calculations), so I wanted to know if we do a prestart check, he said no but would show me where coolants, oils, battery etc were, this isn't part of the training however Chris was happy to show me. Chris was so helpful for me to learn what is the correct way to drive a truck, what to look out for, example don't go in the bike lane, slow down at railway crossing, don't hit kerbs, and the list goes on, he was so patient with me, and it was his patience, and nothing was to much trouble that got me to pass my test. Thank you so much Chris.

Craig is an outstanding trainer. He is very professional and emphasizes the importance of clear communication and safety when operating machinery like a forklift. I liked that while he was very supportive during training, but at the same time he was a strictly professional assessor during the final exam. 5/5 stars for Craig!!!

I did my HR Unrestricted training with Cairns Truck School and honestly, I wasn’t sure if I’d leave with a licence or a stress-induced personality change… but thanks to Michelle, I left with the licence AND my sanity intact. Michelle is an absolute hoot. Super friendly, quick-witted, and somehow has the ability to spot exactly where you’re stuffing things up (in a nice way). She honed in on my gaps in competency like a heat-seeking missile, all while keeping me calm enough to actually function behind the wheel. If you’re nervous about doing your HR Unrestricted, Michelle is exactly who you want in the passenger seat. You’ll learn, you’ll laugh, and most importantly......you’ll pass. I completed my Excavator and Skidsteer Ticket with Richard. I had never in my life operated either of these two pieces of machinery. I attended both courses as we had recently acquired this machinery at work and I wanted to educate myself. I learnt more than I expected through the duration of both courses and have gained confidence in pre and post operation. I have taken these skills back to work and out them into action, which surprised the boys at work. A HUGE THANKYOU TO RICHARD who helped me through both courses. Thanks mate, I hope I didn't stress you out to much :) I highly recommend Cairns Truck School and have already referred people to complete these courses with you.

Richard is a top teacher and one of the best machine operators! He's taken the time and willingness to ask what the tickets will be used for and in my instance its for mining so he made sure to cover the stuff that i would require for my work field. 10/10 couldn't recommend cairns truck school high enough due to Richards teaching. I recently completed my Medium Rigid licence with Cairns Truck School, and I honestly couldn’t recommend them more. From the beginning, the whole process was smooth and well organised. Chris and Michelle were both fantastic throughout the training. They’re incredibly patient, professional, and great at explaining everything in a clear and practical way. Their experience really shows, and they make you feel confident behind the wheel very quickly. Michelle was my instructor before the test and she was amazing, calm, supportive, and very knowledgeable. She made the learning environment relaxed while still making sure I understood all the important skills needed to drive safely and pass the test.

Excellent experience with doing my open HR with Michelle and John as trainers. Lessons were always informative and a very good environment, especially working around my 2/1 fifo roster. I was always giving positive encouragement and never made to feel awkward or bad during the learning process which is a massive help to morale and confidence! I have finished feeling a much better driver and competent to be on the roads not just competent to pass a test! Will be back to learn more in time about more aspects about the truck after passing my license! Thanks to everyone at Cairns truck school!!

Age did not matter, there was 4 other young people in with me on the day. Did HR fork course today with John Found John to be very easy n non intimidating . Made me & my co-worker relaxed and talked thru the theory well and corrected / refined our answers plus couple of helpful phases for remembering plus more refined way of answering couple questions rather than our long worded answer Fork assessment - quite good and helpful in answering any query and clarified when asked for . Gave a few helpful hints / tips for future use Easy to work with 5 stars
