Course Outline:

This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to safely operate quad bikes including undertaking pre-start checks and shut down procedures. The unit applies to individuals who operate quad bikes to undertake routine work under general supervision with limited autonomy and accountability.

Prepare a quad bike for operation
Operate a quad bike
Identifying dangerous conditions
Quad bike shut down and inspection

Assessment type: Theory and Practical

Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a Statement of Attainment and a plastic industry wallet card issued by QTLT RTO #40931

Prerequisites

Participates must:

Participants must be a minimum of 17 years of age to sit the assessment
Be proficient in English
A short literacy and numeracy test will be required

What To Bring

Photo ID
wear sun-smart and job-site ready clothing - closed in shoes, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen
Lunch and water/drink

VOCs

Verification of Competency (VOC) available for all machinery, heavy vehicles and other competencies.
