ITC training is run both locally in Cairns and in remote locations. The Cairns-based course involves a theory component conducted at our training centre in Cairns, with practical component and assessment conducted at our training site at Freshwater.

Nationally Recognised Unit of Competency

Integrated Tool Carriers can be used in mining, construction, agriculture,drilling, forestry, cleanup work and moving dirt/rocks. The quick release mechanism allows for an easy change of attachments that can be used for specific needs.

 

Course Overview

Cost:  $580 beginners, $480 experienced (*see details below)

  • Theory - Online
  • Practical - 76 Lower Freshwater Rd, Kamerunga QLD 4870 (Google Maps)
  • Office - 8 Spoto Street, Woree (Cairns), QLD 4870 (Google Maps)

Duration:  1-2 Days depending on experience

Time:  7.00am - 3.00pm Monday to Friday

* Experienced Course - 1 day -  $480. Must supply either OHS/RII ticket OR VOC (minimum 6 months experience)

Course Outline

This nationally recognised training course gives participants the necessary skills and knowledge to safely and efficiently operate an Integrated Tool Carrier and work in a range of different working environments.  

  • Legislations and standards applicable to operating an Integrated Tool Carrier
  • Risk management, control procedures & prepare for Integrated Tool Carrier
  • Drive and operate Integrated Tool Carrier, and modify the operating technique to meet changing work conditions
  • Select, remove and fit attachments
  • Relocate the Integrated Tool Carrier
  • Carry out machine operator maintenance
  • Conduct house keeping

Assessment type: Theory and Practical

On successfully completion of being deemed competent you will receive a statement of attainment and a plastic industry wallet card issued by QTLT RTO 40931

Prerequisites

Participates must be:

  • Minimum of 17 years of age to sit the assessment
  • Proficient in English
  • Phone, Ipad or computer with camera if doing online theory

  • Photo ID
  • wear sun-smart and job-site ready clothing - Steel-capped boots, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen
  • Lunch and water/drink
