excavator, dozer & loader
have 2 tickets. One for mining
and
one for civil. We suggest you get both tickets at the same time, just in case you don't like mining and want to do civil work instead. It only costs $100 per machineIf you do both ticketsat the same time
Traditionally you were able to work on a mine site with the civil tickets because civil work is more complex and needs a greater level of competency.
However, over the last few years, more and more mines are asking for the mining ticket. You will not get a job in civil without a civil ticket, so it is a good idea to get both mining and civil tickets at the same time to save time and money in the future.
Course Structure
All courses have a theory, practical & assessment component. The courses are conducted in Cairns. The theory is done at our training centre, the practical training and assessment at a live job site in Freshwater (15min drive from town).
You can swap out any of our earth-moving machines; Front End Loader, Skid Steer (Bobcat), Dozer, Excavator, Roller, Backhoe or Tractor or Bulk water truck.
Prerequisites
- Minimum of 17 years of age to sit the assessment
- Proficient in English

- Photo ID
- wear sun-smart and job-site ready clothing - closed in shoes, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen
