Surface Coal Mining Safety Induction Course
The Standard 11 (S11) Mining Induction course is a prerequisite enabling new starters to commence work on an open-cut coal mine in QLD.
This 2 day course training takes participants through the 6 key competencies that will impart valuable knowledge regarding common safety practices of surface extraction coal mines. This provides participants with the skills, knowledge and competency required to work on a surface coal mine.
Nationally Recognised Unit of Competency:
- Duration - 2 days, including assessment
- Time - 7.00am - 3.00pm
- Course Fees - $650
- Participants must be a minimum of 17 years of age to sit the assessment, and be proficient in English
- Photo ID, and wear appropriate clothing and closed in shoes
- A short literacy and numeracy test will be required
- Assessment type: Theory and Practical
- Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a Statement of Attainment and a plastic industry wallet card issued by QTLT RTO #40931
