Load Training and Assessment, Safe Load Pass program and Vehicle Compliance program

• Our Safe Load Training is compliant with Safe Load Program and provides generic training for Bulk Fuel Loaders entering SLP participating terminals and depots.
• The generic material in this course is common to all SLP participating terminals and depots throughout Australia.
• The course is primarily aimed at petroleum transport industry drivers and contractors.
• The material covered is intended to ensure safety of personnel and the protection of SLP participating terminals and depot facilities throughout Australia.

Course overview

• The Load Training course consists of several modules which may be undertaken at individual sessions or presented in sequence over one training session.
• The resources include electronic media, participant workbook and module guides for licenced course facilitators.
• This training doesn't replace individual transport company and product specific training that will need to be undertaken for drivers carrying product on behalf of member companies.
• This course provides training in these four competencies:
  • A1 Identify and classify dangerous goods
  • A2 Load bulk dangerous goods
  • B1 Apply occupational health and safety guidelines
  • C1 Control ignition sources
• The competencies are written in a format, which complies with national accreditation requirements.
• Within this framework, there are three fields:
  • A Dangerous Goods handling
  • B Occupational Health, Safety and the Environment
  • C Fire Risk Management
• Assessment type: theory and practical
• We provide training equipment, notes, logbook and training plans, calculators and pens.
• Our training facilities are fully purpose equipped and our students have direct access to all the plant required for the course.
